Glucosamine is cartilage building blocks known for modifying osteoarthritis by blocking the harmful enzymes known to break down cartilage structures. Glucosamine produces new cartilage and helps to prevent joint destruction from cartilage breakdown by slowing the rate of cartilage loss. PEA – Palmitoylethanolamide (micronized) has demonstrate the use in the treatment of inflammatory pain. MSM improves the effect of Glucosamine in reducing pain and swelling in arthritis. Resveratrol has a chondroprotective (cartilage protective) characteristic that helps limit cartilage matrix loss (the cartilage ingredients) during the early stages of the disease. In preclinical models of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, resveratrol has shown joint protective effects, mainly mediated by decreased production of pro-inflammatory and pro-degradative soluble factors, and modulation of cellular and humoral responses.
